DIN 459-1 defines the nominal capacity as the technical parameter. Nominal capacity = volume of the fresh concrete produced in one working cycle and in compacted condition (compaction rate 1.45). If the mixer size is specified together with dry fill quantity, the following rule applies:
Dry fill quantity = nominal capacity x 1.5 Concrete discharge height up to 2.2 m for concrete buckets, concrete pump or front dump truck, fully automatic batching of water and cement, aggregates by means of hand-operated or pneumatically operated gate valves. Weigher suited for calibration.
With: proportioning wall 3-5fold, open control stand, hand-operated, additives pump, vibrator, batch counter and ammeter for consistency measurements
Without: box walls, silos, cement screws and scrapers
